At Alliance we believe that we are called to be in ministry, everyday, in everyday ways. We encourage you to explore what we have to offer to help find the best fit for you and your family.

8 Ways to Get Involved at Alliance

  1. Hang around after the worship service.

  2. Check out one of our Adult Education classes -  From learning more about the Bible, to addressing questions you may have about life, death, God, what what it means to be a Christian in our community and society today. Our adult classes explore these topics and more.

  3. Become a Greeter
A dedicated corps of parish volunteers serve as welcoming, friendly greeters to those who enter our doors. You don't need to be an expert on anything, just willing to offer a friendly smile and a helpful demeanor. Being a greeter is an easy way to become familiar with the church and meet lots of interesting people. For more information contact Lori Dixon at This email address is being protected from spambots. 4. Help out with Children's Ministries
AUMC offers many opportunities throughout the year designed to help children see and name the love of God at work in their lives. Volunteer to supervise, teach Sunday School, help with Avenue 56 or any other children's activity to find out all about it.

  5. Join the Choir  During our Sunday services, a fantastic group of our members comprise a vested choir that sings hymnal and contemporary selections, as well as those "old" favorites you grew up singing. Participation in the choir is open to any adult or teen with a desire to sing. No auditions necessary. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. 6. Take on a role in the worship services
Each week a number of dedicated members lend their time and talent to help make our worship services run smoothly. Ushers & greeters all perform vital roles in our weekly worship services. 7. Make an effort to attend special events
Throughout the year we host special events that celebrate the seasons and draw us together in fellowship. These events are usually multigenerational and encourage fellowship for the entire family. Stay tuned to your Sunday bulletins and monthly email newsletter and don't let these opportunities for getting involved pass you by.

  8. Join a Committee
A busy network of committees is essential to advance the work of Alliance United Methodist Church. We have ongoing committees overseeing the work of: Hospitality, Outreach, Children & Youth, Finance, and Congregational Care. We also have committees that form to fulfill a specific purpose, and then disband when the work is done. For more information contact Kelly Slean at (817)581-1688.
