The Wesley Center is a Community Center in North Fort Worth that has an affiliation with the United Methodist Church and several other local foundations and grantees. Through these partnerships, the Wesley Center provides services to empower individuals, strengthen families and enrich communities. Their focus is to create opportunities for people to gain the educational and professional skills that will end their dependency on other's assistance. Three key programs that the Wesley Center offers are: Educational Enrichment for school age children, Awareness Changes Tomorrow Program for youth, and Client Assistance & Advocacy for families and seniors.
Alliance UMC is a proud supporter of the Wesley Center's mission and efforts. Alliance provides financial assistance to help support the educational programs in place. Alliance also participates in family to family giving by providing BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES and CHRISTMAS GIFTS to over 100 children that may not have those items otherwise. We often go the Wesley Center to deliver these items and have a fun time with the kids there. During the summer season, Alliance opens their doors and sponsors many Wesley Center children that want to participate in VBS and other Summer programs offered here at AUMC. On top of the churchwide efforts, several members of the congregation invest personal time to help with their food pantry, clothing donations and other more personal ways of supporting such a great community organization.
